Marilisa has THE most colorful mask shop in Venice. I did a Liberté interview with her and before leaving purchased one of her beautiful lace masks for a photoshoot. I’d done photoshoots with the more traditional masks before (posted on my IG) but this one with the lace over the eyes and the carefully cut feathers that curved my head, was just super…sultry!
She even loaned me a green velvet cloak from her collection of Carnival costumes.
It was a hot and humid day in Venice to be modeling a heavy velvet cloak but I think the images turned out great! Most of these were shot in the entryway of my apartment building and others in an alley around the corner.
Once again, the generosity of a fantastic female artist in Venice (and professional make-up artist, hair stylist and photographer) made for an incredible day of shooting. I’m so proud to share these images! More to come!
